$2,000 goal
2019's pool plunge raised $1,000 for the Derek Revord Endowment. Let's see if we can double that this year!!
On New Year's Day, January 1, 2020, at 11:15 am, I will be jumping into that water, but you determine the jump. I will stream the Pool Plunge live on my Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/aaronmsilverman/.
Oh, I am 100% jumping in a Speedo!!!! My freezing and embarrassment is your entertainment. Please donate at least $40 as Derek would have turned 40 in January but any amount is greatly appreciated.
$100 - jump in the shallow end and out as fast as possible - Definitely doing this!!!
$250 - jump in the shallow end and swim to the other side of the shallow end
$500 - jump off the diving board and exit as quickly as possible
$750 - cannonball off the diving board
$1,000 - flip off the diving board
$2,000 - go down the water slide
$4,000 - flip off the diving board and go down the water slide!!
I am not doing all of those items :-) Only the item at the donation level; example - $1,100 raised, flip off the diving board only.
All money raised will go to the Derek Revord Endowment of the Coastal Community Foundation. The Endowment grants money each year to the Special Olympics South Carolina serving the Lowcountry. Learn more at http://derekrevordendowment.com or follow the Endowment on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/DerekRevordEndowment/.
The total granted since 2012 is $9,900. The current Endowment balance is approximately $58,000.
If you want to experience an awesome event, check out the Dunleavy’s Pub Polar Plunge - http://so-sc.org/event/dunleavyspolarplunge/. This is a Special Olympics South Carolina event. Tons and tons of people go to it, and it is a lot of fun.
Note: the Derek Revord Endowment is not affiliated with the Special Olympics South Carolina.
