Costa Rica may not be competing in this year's World Cup, but its wildlife still needs a team!

Through Goals for Wildlife, you can turn your passion for football into real conservation impact. Join fellow fans in predicting match results throughout the tournament while helping provide lifesaving care for rescued wildlife at Toucan Rescue Ranch.

Just like a football team relies on strategy, teamwork, and dedication, wildlife rehabilitation is a collective effort. Every day, veterinarians, animal caretakers, volunteers, and supporters work together to help injured and orphaned animals recover and return to the wild.

– How It Works – 

1. Join the Challenge

Make a donation on our official campaign page to enter the competition!

Registration Period: June 12–17, 2026. Sign up before June 17 to join the challenge and help wildlife win!

2. Get Assigned to a Wildlife Team

Participants will be randomly assigned to one of six wildlife teams:

• Team Sloth
• Team Toucan
• Team Tamandua
• Team Otter
• Team Parrot
• Team Jaguarundi

3. Submit Your Predictions

Participants will complete prediction forms throughout the tournament:

• Phase 1: Group Stage
• Phase 2: Round of 16
• Phase 3: Quarterfinals
• Phase 4: Semifinals & Final

– How Teams Earn Points – 

In Goals for Wildlife, every team can earn points in two ways:

Match Predictions

• Exact score = 5 points
• Correct winner = 3 points
• Incorrect prediction = 0 points

Donations

• Every $1 donated = 1 point for your wildlife team

This means that both football expertise and fundraising efforts help your team climb the leaderboard!

As participants make donations, funds directly support the rehabilitation, care, and conservation efforts for the wildlife species represented by each team. From emergency veterinary treatment and specialized nutrition to habitat enrichment and release preparation, every contribution helps give rescued animals a second chance.

At the same time, participants earn prediction points that help their wildlife team climb the tournament leaderboard, turning every match into an opportunity to make a real impact.
