Since 2019, I've been honored to volunteer and work as a student mentor at BOSS Inc., influencing young men to reach unconscious competency. The non-profit equips BIPOC youth, particularly economically disadvantaged boys of color, for success in all aspects of life. BOSS's mission promotes individual excellence and team mastery, emphasizing intellectual, physical, and emotional well-being in an inclusive environment where everyone is valued and respected. With a focus on STEAM learning and critical thinking skills, BOSS prepares youth to excel as well-rounded scholars, challenging them to think critically and innovate for professional success.
As much as I seek to inspire the young men of BOSS, they often are the ones who continue to inspire me to excel. As a product of the city of Compton, I can attest to the importance of mentorship and support systems to an individual's success, as I have genuinely benefited from other's willingness to take a chance on me.
Your support, in any amount, will be pivotal in facilitating our year-round-BOSS programming and furthering our ability to positively impact our BOSS students. Thank you!
