This year I have the privilege to be apart of the North Peninsula Jewish Teen Foundation (NPJTF) as a Leadership Council member. The Jewish Teen Foundation as a whole is a program of the Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund. We are a group of 25 hard working teens who dedicate our time and effort to learn and raise money so in the end we can allocate grants to non profits organizations. As well as giving grants and learning how to fundraise, we learn about philanthropy and how our jewish lives connect into philanthropy. I joined the NPJTF because I wanted to be able to give back to my community and give back to the Jewish community all over the world. Being able to participate in the Jewish Teen Foundation for the second year in a row has given me the opportunity to help teach and encourage first year board members how they can give back to their community one step at a time.
Our mission statement touches many very important topics. THIS YEAR OUR MISSION IS TO PROMOTE POSITIVE SOCIAL CHANGE BY PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT AND RESPONDING TO THE NEEDS OF PEOPLE AFFECTED BY ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS LOCALLY, GLOBALLY, AND IN ISRAEL.
Our priority deadline to get donations is April 25, so please consider making your donation before then. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at hbattat11@gmail.com. I am happy to answer any questions you may have and I appreciate any donations that you can give to help support this cause. Thanks for all you support!
