π A Personal Christmas Appeal from Santa Claus π
Ho Ho Ho, my dear friends,
This is Santa Claus speaking to you from the North Pole, where the snow is falling softly, the reindeer are gently pawing at the ground, and the elves are humming their happiest carols. In this peaceful moment, I wanted to share something important, something full of kindness, hope, and the true spirit of giving.
Each Christmas Eve, as I fly over the shimmering ribbon of the Missouri River, I see something that fills my heart with joy: I see people caring for their river, tending to it with the same love and wonder that children feel on Christmas morning. And much of that magic, much of that goodness, comes from my dear friends at Missouri River Relief.
You know, my friends, Christmas is not just about presents under the tree. Christmas is about giving from the heart, about lifting up others, about hope carried forward one generous act at a time. And that is exactly what Missouri River Relief does every single day.
They bring people to the river, children, teachers, families, entire communities, and they help them discover what a gift the Missouri truly is. Through hands-on cleanups, joyful education programs, and river adventures, they help people feel connected to something bigger, something beautiful, something worth protecting.
Since 2001, these caring folks have:
π Welcomed 33,000 volunteers to help clean and care for the riverπ Removed over 2 million pounds of trash (even I couldnβt carry that in my sleigh!)π
Reached more than 40,000 students and teachers, sparking curiosity and love for the riverπ
Given over 7,000 Columbia fourth graders the chance to explore the water through βMissouri River Daysβπ
Helped thousands experience the river through the legendary MR340
Isnβt that something to celebrate?
Isnβt that the very spirit of Christmasβbringing hope, joy, and light into the world?
But here is the part where you come in, my friends.
Even at the North Pole, we know that good works need support.
Kindness grows when we feed it.
Hope flourishes when we share it.
And rivers stay healthy when people care for them.
So this Christmas season, I am asking, from one warm heart to another, to consider making a donation to Missouri River Relief.
Your gift, no matter the size, is an act of kindness that will:
⨠Help children feel wonder and connection⨠Help volunteers restore the river with their own hands⨠Help communities grow closer to the water that sustains them⨠Help protect a natural treasure for generations yet to come
Just imagine,a child seeing the Missouri River for the very first time, their eyes lighting up like Christmas stars. Your generosity makes that possible.
And oh, what a beautiful gift that is.
My dear friends, thank you for always believing in the power of goodness.
Thank you for sharing hope.
Thank you for giving with hearts full of love.
Wishing you peace, joy, and the warm glow of Christmas magic,
π Santa Claus
