Isabel Piedmont-Smith's Shalom Sleepout

When Forrest Gilmore, Executive Director of the Shalom Center, asked me to participate in the Solidarity Sleepout, I thought it was rather gimicky. Sleep out one night with the knowledge that I have a warm house to go to the next day, while actual homeless people do not have this knowledge? Doesn't sound very woke. BUT, he convinced me it's a good way to raise money for the cause, and I deeply believe in the cause! Shalom has helped hundreds of Bloomington residents, and their funding for Friend's Place is running out! Please help me raise funds for Shalom with your donation today.
