Ride Ragbrai for Team Alma

My name is Olivia and last year I biked across Iowa with TEAM ALMA. Never before did I image doing such a thing, or that Iowa might possibly have hills! Let alone, tons and tons and tons of hills.
Well one year ago I spent a lot of time both biking across the state and getting to know its hills quite well. This year, I'm going to do it all over again. Except this time, think headwinds and heat.
WHY?
I ride for Team Alma because I believe in restorative justice and ending cycles of violence through transformative change and healing. Hurt people hurt people, and I believe Alma Center does work to address the core of this sentiment through engaging with men and families in trauma informed ways. Go here to learn more about Alma Center and here to learn more about the annual Ragbrai ride.
This year I am honored to not only take part in this ride with TEAM ALMA but also to be interning at Alma Center in Milwaukee. Please help support this ride, my learning, and this incredible organization accomplish their deeply important and groundbreaking work.
I ask you to further this mission by making a mile pledge in support of my (second!) ride.
I will be biking a total of 402.5 miles and whatever you're able to contribute is so incredibly appreciated.
Watch for Facebook updates as we pedal July 22-July 29. Thank you and very sincerely,
Olivia
Here we go!
