This holiday season, Engage Globally is raising funds to support the construction and operation of a new early childhood education center in rural Northern Ghana. All donations, up to $8,000, are being matched by our Board members.
The school will be called be called Tahama, meaning “hope” in the Dagbani, the local language. The Tahama Center will use an environmental education curriculum including a school garden, tree planting, solar power, and field trips to meet a crocodile!
Your contribution will support construction with four classrooms, a kitchen, and a library. Each student receives a daily lunch to reduce malnutrition, school uniforms, a pair of shoes, and school supplies. In the evenings and on weekends, the school will be used for community activities including literacy and public health classes.
Thank you very much for your support!
