Jon Rathauser, 26, originally from Montgomery, NJ, has been a fixture on Team Israel since it's inception and was an integral member of the defensive unit in 2014 in Denver. Now living in Tel Aviv, Jon has embraced the role of leader on the 2016 European Championship team and was recently voted by his teammates as one of the captains of the squad. As an owner of a new start-up in Tel Aviv, Jon has also found the time to give back to the sport of lacrosse by helping to found the Kenya Lacrosse Association and is very active in the growth of lacrosse in Africa as a whole. Despite this incredible effort, Jon's true passion still lies in Israel, the place he now calls home. When asked what Israel Lacrosse means to him, Jon replied very succinctly, "A people, a land, past, present and future. עם ישראל חי (Am Yisrael Chai)." Jon is anticipated to cover the opposing team's best dodging attackman while also serving as a relative "on-field" coach.
