When you donate to the Friends of the State Botanical Garden of Georgia you are supporting:

  • Critical efforts to conserve native plants, pollinators and their habitats
  • Programming for all ages to learn about the plants of Georgia and the importance of safeguarding our environment
  •  Gardening displays, best practices and stewardship of healthy natural ecosystems
  • Efforts to provide the community a safe, free and accessible environment for restoration and peace


Examples of ways your gift can make a difference:

$10 – Provides one bag of specialty soil media for potting native plants grown from locally collected seeds

$25 – Provides three new plants to our collections 

$50 – Covers fees for one Garden Earth Explorers lesson in the Alice H. Richards Children’s Garden 

$100 – Covers one Certificate in Native Plants Core Class scholarship

$250 – Covers one week of summer camp for one child

$500 – Funds one day of 7th-grade Experience University of Georgia student field trip reaching 120 Athens-Clarke County students 

$1,000 – Supports the out-planting of one endangered plant species of Georgia, returned to a new home population in a wild site
