I began my journey working with Five Acres Animal Shelter nearly 17 years ago, when it was known affectionately as "The small shelter, with a big heart!". I feel so fortune to have been able to watch as we've grown. Not just in size, as our old buildings gave way to new, but also in numbers. The number of staff, of volunteers, and of course, animals! The animals are the heart of it all, the reason that we do what we do each and every day! Over the years, through all of the change, one thing has remained constant and that is our never ending commitment to our animals! For that reason, I am asking for your help! Please help us continue this life saving work; to be able to provide the very best that we can for these precious animals we're entrusted with!
