What is Light Up National?
I feel like most of us in this neighborhood are very fortunate in the sense that during COVID-19 we are not worried where our next meal will come from, but there are others in the greater community that do not have this luxury. Light Up National is a way for our neighborhood to come together and support those in need.
When: Saturday, April 25th
Why: There are many children in our community that depend on free meals at school. The Boys and Girls Club of the Sandhills has stepped up to provide not only breakfast and lunch to any child under the age of 18, but dinners for families of four as well. Their unexpected cost to provide this support is $1,500 each day.
How you can help: Donate $20. For every $20 you donate to provide meals I will deliver a luminary for you to display. (More details on the back of this card.)
