"We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek." - Barack Obama

$62,000 goal

I love the environment. My fondest memories are of those traversing mountains in Yosemite or hiking in the deserts of Utah. The earth has done so much for us, but it is dying. We need to step up and make a change. Making a significant change in the environment is very difficult alone, but as a collective making a significant impact is much easier. At the Jewish Teen Foundation we set a goal and a mission statement and spend the year raising funds for select organizations we have chosen as a consensus.  Being lucky to have lived in such a wealthy area, it is my duty to help those less fortunate and to make the biggest difference possible. I hope the skills I have learned in the past and at the JTF will help me make the best change I can possibly make.

Our mission statement this year is to promote positive social change by protecting the environment and responding to the needs of people affected by environmental problems, locally, globally and in Israel. As a huge environmentalist and being the primary advocate for environmental protection, this mission was a gold mine. Last year, as close as 50% of the Great Barrier Reef, an ecosystem housing hundreds and thousands of sea animals, died as a result of rising temperatures worldwide. In addition, the Trump Administration further degrades the environment by reversing hundreds of laws that were put in place by Obama. We as a foundation are hoping we could make a noticeable impact to reverse some of these disastrous changes Trump is making and prevent further degradation so further generations can live peacefully in a world we helped save.

Our group goal is to raise $60,001 (I added the one so if another foundation had a goal of flat $60,000 we would beat them by a dollar), and each member will donate at least $100 to the cause (I am hoping I can contribute more than that). My personal goal is to raise a bare-minimum of $2,101, but I am confident if I work hard enough I can far exceed that goal. Any amount is appreciated, and due to the status of the organizations being non-profit, all donations are tax-deductible, so you are assured all funds will go straight to helping the environment. Please donate, every dollar is put to good use.

The deadline is April 19th, so I would appreciate it if you could make your donation before then. If you have any questions, you can either contact me through email or cell (Both are pasted below). I would be super intrigued and happy to tell you more about NPJTF and our mission, and also about random environment facts or just to talk. Thanks!
