This year I have the privilege to be on the board of the North Peninsula Jewish Teen Foundation (NPJTF). The NPJTF is a project of the Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund. We are a group of 25 teens who are working to allocate grants to high impact Jewish and secular nonprofit organizations. As well as fundraising we are learning about philanthropy in the Jewish community, world issues, leadership skills, and coming to consensus. I joined NPJTF because I passionately believe that it is the responsibility of those of us privileged enough to have access to basics necessities to help those who don’t. This year as a leadership council member I have an active role in planning and leading all activities that we do as a board. With this responsibility comes even more opportunities to discover how I can give back and lead others in giving back as well.
OUR MISSION THIS YEAR IS TO PROMOTE POSITIVE SOCIAL CHANGE BY PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT AND RESPONDING TO THE NEEDS OF PEOPLE AFFECTED BY ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS LOCALLY, GLOBALLY, AND IN ISRAEL.
Our priority deadline is April 19, so please consider making your gift before then. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at hadler@crystal.csus.org. I would be happy to tell you more about the NPJTF and our mission, and I am so grateful for your support!
