If it weren't for receiving the JP Morgan scholarship years ago when I was an entering freshman, my family and I would not have been able to financially afford sending me off to Spelman College. That scholarship was TRULY a blessing, and I will forever be grateful to the donors who invested in my education.
Today, I stand proudly as a Spelman Woman graduate, and most grateful to pay it forward by being my little sisters' keeper. Please join me in raising money towards scholarship funds that will directly help current NJ students facing financial difficulty to make it through.
It's so important that we support these young women in their quest to pursue education at this powerful institution whose motto is literally "A Choice to Change to World". Please don't allow financial strain to be the deterrent of that choice.
