Update #2

Update posted 4 months ago

The 2025 Fundraiser is active at https://www.mightycause.com/story/Plunge2025.

On New Year's Day, January 1, 2024, at 10:15 am, I will jump into the pool, but you determine the jump.  I will stream the Pool Plunge live on the Endowment's Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/DerekRevordEndowment. Make sure you "Like" the page to receive a notification when I go live.

A quick shout out to our matching donors - Valerie Singley, REALTOR, Keller Williams Charleston West Ashley, and Bluewater Property Management, LLC.  They are matching donations up to $2,000.  Your donation will be tripled!!!

We are looking for more matching donors.  Contact me if you are interested.

For the 2023 Pool Plunge, I turned into the Human Hotdog.  Oh, I still wore the Speedo under the costume (my kids are getting older, and I do not need to traumatize them with seeing me a Speedo....).

What costume should I wear for the 2024 Pool Plunge?  We still have plenty of time to figure that out.  Suggestions are welcome.

My freezing and embarrassment are your entertainment.  "Like" the Derek Revord Endowment's Facebook Page to receive a notification when Aaron goes live for the jump on January 1.

Please donate at least $44 as Derek would have turned 44 in January but any amount is greatly appreciated.

$100 - jump in the shallow end and out as fast as possible - Definitely doing this!!!

$250 - jump in the shallow end and swim to the other side of the shallow end

$500 - jump off the diving board and exit as quickly as possible

$750 - cannonball off the diving board

$1,000 - flip off the diving board (Full disclosure, I did not flip this year.  The Human Hotdog flew through the air!  Maybe the Human Hotdog can do a flip???)

$2,000 - go down the water slide

$4,000 - flip off the diving board and go down the water slide!!

$5,000 - jump into the spa filled with ice water!!!!

I am not doing all of those items :-)  Only the item at the donation level; example - $1,100 raised, flip off the diving board only.

All money raised will go to the Derek Revord Endowment of the Coastal Community Foundation.  The Endowment grants money each year to the Special Olympics South Carolina serving the Lowcountry.  Learn more at http://derekrevordendowment.com or follow the Endowment on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/DerekRevordEndowment/.
