2025 Spelling Bee

Every year we come together as enthusiastic teams of spellers from Utah, competing for the championship title. This semi-annual event has been described as the “funnest fundraiser in the valley” and our teams never disappoint! 

But Project Read's Spelling Bee is about more than words—it’s about life-changing education. Right now, thousands of adults in Utah struggle with daily tasks many of us take for granted: understanding prescription or food labels, reading bills, notices, or lease agreements, calculating sale prices or comparing costs at a store, managing bank accounts, creating a resume, using email, etc. Project Read offers a lifeline through one-on-one tutoring and  practical learning labs in reading, writing, math, and digital skills.
