Help end the STEM Desert here on the Coast!

Technically speaking, the Coastside is STEM desert, which is confounding considering our proximity to Silicon Valley.  Since were founded in 2022, the Pumpkin Bots is changing that, giving our Coastside kids the opportunity to learn in a positive, hands on environment in the areas of: leadership, software engineering, mechanical engineering, fabrication, CAD, marketing, fundraising, and communication.

'24 students learning from our '23 robot!

Team 8793, The Pumpkin Bots, is a community-based FIRST® Robotics     Competition team in the farming town of Half Moon Bay, California. Our team’s mission is to become champions of STEM education and innovation for students of all backgrounds; our team membersare diverse, resourceful, and brave enough to dream. The Pumpkin Bots strongly believe that exposure to STEM will inspire students to develop a passion for robotics and build future leaders who will make positive impacts in their community and the world at large.

All of our mentors are volunteers, so 100% of your generous donations will go directly to our programming!

Each competition season costs about $30,000 a year.  While we are supported by AMAZING local and national sponsors, about 20% of our budget comes from individual donations from the generous members of our community.

Getting parts fabricated by NASA is always a highlight of competition!
