As we approach the end of the school year, thousands of students across Massachusetts are wrapping up rigorous Advanced Placement (AP) coursework and preparing for their AP exams. However, for many, the cost of the exams presents a significant financial barrier. Please join me in helping to eliminate this obstacle by making a contribution to Mass Insight (Mi)’s AP Exam Fee Subsidy program. I'm proud to serve on the Board of this innovative educational non-profit.
Through this initiative, Mi provides financial support to all low-income students in our AP STEM & English program, the largest secondary STEM program in the Commonwealth. This program ensures that financial hardship is not a barrier for student access, engagement, and success in AP.
We're seeking partners in our effort to level the playing field for the exemplary students in our program, from the Berkshires to Cape Cod. Based on current enrollment in our 80 partner high schools across the state, we expect 7,000 exams will require subsidizing this year.
A donation of just $40 will fund the AP exam for one low-income AP STEM & English student!
I've set a personal fundraising goal of $3,000 to help 75 Massachusetts high school students take these important exams.
Your donation is crucial to helping us remove economic impediments that restrict the participation and achievement of thousands of low-income students – students who have committed themselves to the academic rigor of Advanced Placement coursework over the past school year and deserve the opportunity to take the exam.
THANK YOU!
