OUR MISSION STATEMENT THIS YEAR IS TO PROMOTE POSITIVE SOCIAL CHANGE BY PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT AND RESPONDING TO THE NEEDS OF PEOPLE AFFECTED BY ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS LOCALLY, GLOBALLY, AND IN ISRAEL.
The North Peninsula Jewish Teen Foundation, NPJTF, provides and allocate funds to Jewish and non-Jewish non-profit organizations around the locally, globally, and in Israel. Through NPJTF, myself and 24 other teens are am learning to come to improving social and physical environments, being an active philanthropist, coming to consensus, and improve our world today overall. I heard about NPJT through Kayla Wagenfel, who is currently on the leadership council.
As the wildfires continue to spread throughout the US, more and more people are losing everything that they have. In Sonoma County, the recent wildfires destroyed 6,600 structures, including 5,130 homes, and more than 600 businesses. Fires have only account for a part of the deviating natural disasters. Hurricane Harvey caused $180 billion in the last year. During the month of September, one-third of Houston was underwater, damaging over 203,000 homes. Other natural disasters, such as droughts, have also touched parts of Africa and the Middle East. As a group, the NPJTF is working and partnering with many non-profits working towards improving the lives of those affected by the natural disasters. As a group, we will be personally meeting with all of these non-profits to decide which exact ones we will be funding.
ANY contribution will be much appreciated! Our group goal is to raise $62,000 and each board member will donate at least $100. My personal goal is to raise $2,300. By donating, you are helping people that are affected by these natural disasters around the world.
I look forward to discussing NPJTF and more about what we do and/or answering any questions you might have. Feel free to email me at gruber.rachel3@gmail.com. Thank you so much for visiting my page and making a contribution!
