THE MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS IS NOW
Will YOU donate $20 to help improve the growing mental health crisis of 2020?
Life has never felt more uncertain in the face of tremendous loss and divisiveness. We are in the midst of a serious mental health crisis.
This is personal! I founded The Youth Mental Health Project because of the shame and loneliness I felt when my child was young and struggling with serious mental health problems. Finding support from other parents who had experience raising a child with mental health challenges was my lifeline. I can't imagine how difficult that would have been during a pandemic!
We hear from parents around the country every day, and they are completely overwhelmed. Their children, teens, and young adult children are in crisis - depression, anxiety, substance use, and suicide are all on the rise. The guilt, shame, and pain around parenting a child with mental health challenges has never been more intense.
Supporting parents and caregivers to understand and care for their children's mental health is WHAT WE DO! Our program for families, The Parent Support Network, gives parents an opportunity to meet other parents who understand and can guide them to resources in a free, safe, and confidential way. Parents discover that they are NOT ALONE and become empowered with the tools they need to help their children.
By donating even a small amount to this campaign, you can help us bring our expertise to more families nationwide during this extremely overwhelming and uncertain time. With your help, we can build strong families to support our youth.
WHY NOW?
The Youth Mental Health Project has an opportunity to qualify for a $100,000 GRANT by participating in A Community Thrives from the USA TODAY NETWORK.
Would you be willing to show your support with a $20 gift to help us address the mental health crisis of 2020?
