We are so excited to announce that one of our vendors has given us $12,000 to help alleviate some of our bills so we were able to lower our funds needed.
Caridad strives to humanize the homeless in Las Vegas. Caridad's contracts for outreach service were cut. With the contracts ending early, Caridad has run out of funds and laid off all staff.
Caridad is working on grants to support Caridad Gardens, their garden therapy program. The Caridad Gardens will hire formerly homeless Veterans and train them to farm. The project once started will bring in enough revenue to support Caridad's operational expenses.
Caridad staff is so passionate about the mission of Caridad, despite getting laid off is still volunteering one day a week. This fundraiser is to cover the overhead expenses for staff and operations until Caridad Gardens can begin.
