Sherry Xu - Freshman

Even though I just joined this year, I love crew! I love that crew is so inclusive and supportive! Every time I go to crew, I always feel supported by my coaches and peers. They cheer me on and give me the extra boost I need to keep going when I’m feeling tired whether that’s in races or practices. I also love that crew pushes me to work hard and get physically stronger. I like that crew pushes me physically, but also at my own pace. For example, during practices the coaches urges me to do better but only better than what I previously done, instead of setting me expectations that are too high. I have also just noticed that when I do crew, I am always at my physical best.
