Rabbi Yossi & Hindel Swerdlov will be running the marathon in Tel Aviv on February 22, 2019, in support of Shula's Library.
Shula’s Library is dedicated in loving memory of our dear daughter Alta Shula Swerdlov A'H, who was taken from us in a tragic car accident at the age of 3, nine years ago. The library, which has been serving the Jerusalem community for over 7 years has lent out over 35,000 books to date. The library and its surrounding activities bring smiles to many children which in turn make Shula's soul smile up above.
This is our second fundraiser of this kind, and the only fundraising we do for Shula's Library. Thanks to your generous donations last year, we have since BH increased the library's days of operation to five days a week. We have also since renovated the interior with new furniture, floor, and ceiling, and hired another librarian to our staff.
The Lubavitcher Rebbe has taught us that after the passing of a loved one, the “living shall take to heart”, ie the living can continuously enliven the soul of the deceased by doing Good deeds in their merit. We feel privileged to have taken on this continuous effort of an interactive lending library so that every Jewish book read, and every good deed done through our efforts, will elevate her soul and keep Shula's memory alive.
Please give generously so that we can continue doing these acts of goodness and kindness.
All donations are Tax Deductible in the USA and will be processed via Israel Chai Foundation which is a 501c3 Non-profit organization.
