French oil giant, Total, and the China National Offshore Oil Company are on the cusp of building a massive crude oil pipeline right through the heart of Africa – displacing communities, endangering wildlife and tipping the world closer to full-blown climate catastrophe.

For local communities and activists in Uganda and Tanzania, speaking out against a big corporate project like EACOP comes with serious risks and organizations, environmental activists and human rights defenders have faced various threats. So local groups have assembled a coalition of East African and international organizations to help amplify their message and bring new allies to the #StopEACOP campaign.

And it’s working! Together we can stop the East African Crude Oil Pipeline and create a just and sustainable economic future.

Over one million people from all around the world have supported advocacy actions like the ones featured on the www.StopEACOP.net campaign hub.

But we need to do all we can to support their work, keep them safe and push back on the concerted attempts to silence them.

That’s why the #StopEACOP coalition has established a dedicated fund to support our grassroots partners.  All contributions to this fund will go to local members of the coalition to support their grassroots organizing and to cover the costs of legal defense if necessary.

If you can help, please make a donation today.

The fundraising is being administered by Inclusive Development International on behalf of the #StopEACOP coalition.
