If not now, when?  This year on my 66th birthday, I decided it was time to be STARK NAKED! I am a strong believer and practitioner that each of us should live a spiritual, physical, and mentally balanced life.

As scary as it sounds, after a year of exceptional training with my Stark coaches, I feel this is the next goal on my list of optimal health! I can’t wait to learn more about nutrition and better health practices that will influence my wellness journey into the “third-third” of my life. And yes, this will be the ultimate test of discipline, but here we go!

The other best part of STARK NAKED will be telling you about the most meaningful part of my life, The Literacy Project. My spiritual heart believes in serving others, especially the less fortunate, and I have enjoyed a lifetime as a nonprofit volunteer. In 2009, I founded The Literacy Project to help our most vulnerable children who struggle with the mastery of reading skills at the critical age of second grade. As a former school counselor, I know firsthand the devastating effects of illiteracy.  I believe every child, especially the disadvantaged, has a right to learn to read within their own unique capabilities. The Literacy Project has taught over 10,500 at-risk children of low-income families to read at “no cost.” I believe there are many ways to save the life of a child. The gift of reading is one of them.

I cannot wait to share my journey! On behalf of Stark, my coaches and all the children we will serve through your generous donations, I wholeheartedly thank you!
