Katie's Slumber Pawty with MACS!

Hello!

I am so excited to participate in the National Shelter Slumber Pawty with Michigan Anti-Cruelty Society! This event is the biggest and most far-reaching collaborative effort among the animal welfare community. This year's Slumber Pawty takes place on March 25, 2023 at Noon and lasts for a 24-hour period. 

I kindly ask for your support of this event with a donation of any size toward my $600 goal. I hope you will consider the value of your investment in impacting the lives of homeless and neglected animals in need of loving, forever families.

Your donation will go towards dogs like Greta! She came to us at MACS several weeks ago with a severe injury to her back leg that required immediate medical attention. The staff at our vet clinic performed an emergency leg amputation the very next day. (Yes- you read that right. Not only are we a shelter that helps homeless pets, we also provide full service, low-cost veterinary care that helps owners & their pets in and around the City of Detroit.)

As you can see below, not only did Greta have a severe leg injury, she also was extremely thin and she had painful eye ulcers. Greta immediately stole my heart and has been my foster dog since the day she came it!

While Greta is still gaining weight and has healing eye ulcers- she is doing fabulous! She has even made a new Best Friend- a 60 pound pit bull with cerebellar hypoplasia- named Tippi.
