Mosaic Georgia plays a vital role in keeping our Gwinnett community safe and cultivating a culture of healing among those impacted by sexual violence. I am a member of the Board of Directors and can attest that this work has a far-reaching, positive impact on the individuals who receive services and participate in counseling and healing programs at Mosaic Georgia.
Mosaic Georgia’s mission is to take action and guide change for the safety, health and justice of children and adults impacted by sexual violence and abuse. For over 35 years, Mosaic Georgia (formerly Gwinnett Sexual Assault Center) has discreetly served more than 15,000 kids and adults who experienced sexual violence, exploitation, trafficking, child sexual abuse, and similar crimes. The organization began as a volunteer rape crisis center in 1986 and is now a full-service Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC), Sexual Assault Center, and Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) Response Center with 24/7 crisis response with forensic medical services.
We help people put the pieces of their lives back together with dignity and cultivate resilience through a mosaic of services in a trauma-informed, victim-centered manner. Mosaic Georgia actively participates in the statewide CSEC response collaboration with the Children's Advocacy Centers of Georgia (CACGA) and Georgia’s Human Trafficking Task Force. Our work in the Resilient Gwinnett initiative demonstrates our continued commitment to collaboration and reducing adverse childhood experiences in Gwinnett County.
