Give Back: Support Black Student Education

Greetings Friends/Family/Allies!

Tuesday, December 1, 2020, is Giving Tuesday!

Each year, non-profit organizations like Umoja Community benefit from the generosity of community members, alumni, and others on planned giving days. 

As you know, I am passionate about serving Black students and helping them navigate college, successfully. I am grateful to work for an organization where my passion in this area comes to life!

Please help me reach my individual fundraising goal of $250. This money will help us continue the great work we do at Umoja that includes: connecting Black students to their rich, African heritage though curriculum and educational experiences,  providing student leadership opportunities, hiring paid student interns, providing grant funds to community college Umoja programs, developing and facilitating African centered/culturally responsive professional development trainings for educators who are responsible for teaching Black students, etc. 

I am asking for a minimum donation of $20. However, anything you can provide is greatly appreciated!

Umoja Community Mission Statement:
