Julia G is Raising Money for Furniture Friends!

Furniture Friends is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides donated furniture to people in need throughout Greater Portland (Maine) helping hundreds of families every year.

I'm proud to support an organization that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of low-income families in my community.

I am participating in this event because I have volunteered with this program many times. It is by far my favorite place to volunteer because I get to witness people's faces light up as we move their new furniture into their homes. These people are so thankful and it is up to people like us who have advantages to help people in need get necessities like a bed to sleep on. Making connections with clients and seeing children jump on to their new mattress after sleeping on the floor for who knows how long, is an amazing feeling and that is why I want to support an organization like Furniture Friends.
