I am reaching out to our LU class members to ask you to give to our class fundraiser during Richland Gives this year. Our local nonprofit community is fortunate to have this online giving event that runs through Tuesday, Nov. 28. Hosted by the Richland County Foundation, Richland Gives empowers everyone to give to local nonprofits they care about to grow philanthropy and strengthen the community.

Leadership Unlimited was a pivotal year in our lives. We learned about key community initiatives, made lifelong connections and friendships, and grew as leaders.

The program is now in its 40th year and it's growing in participants, alumni, and impact. In fact, the class of 2023 reported growth in leadership skills, community familiarization, and network growth from the beginning of the experience to the end.

LU informs people about community initiatives and positions them to develop solutions within their organizations and the community. This year's class is even working on a capstone project around beautification in Shelby and Mansfield.

The LU alumni network is also active with mixers, luncheons, and events happening throughout the year.

Let's give back to a program that shaped our professional lives. This year donations will be directed to the LU scholarship fund so cohorts can continue to have a diverse mix of industries, business sizes, and cities/villages represented. The Chamber Foundation is competing for prizes during Richland Gives, so the best time to give is Tuesday, Nov. 28 between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m.

The LU class that raises the most dollars will receive a group lunch or happy hour. Let's show them we are truly the best class ever.
