Alisa Zapesochniy - Team Israel

Hey, my name is Alisa, I'm 17 years old and I've been playing lacrosse since I was 16.

My year playing lacrosse was challenging, fun and empowering.

I've always been competitive and interested in sports, but I never found a sport that felt right for me, until the coaches from Israel Lacrosse came to my school and introduced us to the game. I came to try it out with my friends and felt like it immediately clicked, and that it fits my abilities perfectly. 

When I step on the field to play or even just practice, my mood improves and my skills improve, too. It makes me be happy and feel good.

Lacrosse boosted my confidence, made me live a healthier lifestyle, and helped me love myself more. 

While playing lacrosse I met people who are now my family for life; supportive, positive, not judging and accepting me for who I am.
