🌱 TÈ NOU: The Earth is Ours

Our Story

Mén Beni Gardening was born out of a dream and a blessing. “Mén Beni” means "blessed hands" in Haitian Creole. From that dream, we have been cultivating spaces where communities can Renew, Reconnect, and Reawaken through gardening, culture, and collective care.

This year, we are proud to present the 2nd Annual TÈ NOU: The Earth is Ours, a Black, Haitian, and Indigenous–centered Environmental Justice Summit happening on November 29th, 2025, at Dunn's Overtown Farms and the Center for Black Innovation in Miami.

Why TÈ NOU Matters

Communities are being bullied, and people are being forced out of the very neighborhoods they built. Miami stands at the frontline of climate change, gentrification, and displacement, pressures felt most deeply in historically Black and immigrant neighborhoods like Overtown, Little Haiti, Little Havana, and our Tribal reservations.

Reclaim our connection to land and culture

Center voices of Black, Haitian, and Indigenous leaders in the fight for environmental justice

Provide sliding-scale seats for community members most impacted

Host five workshops, a wellness zone, and cultural and art activations

Lift up stories through our panel Sacred Stories, Stolen Soil: Reclaiming Narrative, Reclaiming Land*

How Your Gift Helps

Your donation ensures that TÈ NOU we can offer access at a reduced price, accessible, and powerful:

$25 covers a youth’s workshop materials.

$50 subsidizes a community member’s ticket.

$100 supports our wellness zone with hydration, shade, and herbal care.

$250 funds a teaching artist or facilitator.

$500 underwrites accessibility (translation, ADA seating, first-aid).

$1,000+ sponsors a full activation block and honors an elder.

Our Vision

When we say TÈ NOU, we mean “Our Land.” This summit is not just an event, it’s a declaration: the earth is ours to care for, to protect, and to heal. Together, we are building a future where environmental justice is not a privilege, but a shared right.

On this Give Miami Day, we invite you to plant a seed with us. Your gift ensures that our people, elders, youth, healers, and dreamers have the resources to gather, heal, and lead Miami toward a just and sustainable future.
