Our Woodworking volunteers are fundamental to the Apprentice program, providing a solid foundation in carpentry skills and artistry. They begin by teaching Apprentices hand tools and basic carpentry, then advance to more complex skills and power tools, guiding them through progressively challenging projects.
This year, the Woodworkers are participating in a friendly Spring2ACTion fundraising competition against the Boatbuilders and Maritime Skills crews for bragging rights—and to raise money for the Alexandria Seaport Foundation (ASF)!
You can double your impact thanks to the incredible generosity of our long-time supporter, Diane Rhodes, who will match every donation made to the Woodworkers Challenge dollar for dollar, up to a total of $10,000.
