September Falls Prevention Community Outreach

This September, Finding A Foothold Foundation is bringing falls prevention education and resources directly into communities across the Greater Baton Rouge area in recognition of Falls Prevention Awareness Month.

Through community partnerships, the Foundation will provide outreach at five YMCA of the Capital Area locations (open to public), East Baton Rouge Parish Housing Authority (EBRPHA) senior communities, and other community settings serving older adults. These interactive workshops will focus on practical, affordable strategies that help older adults recognize falls risks, improve safety, protect their independence, and remain in their homes and communities for as long as possible.

Join Us as a Community Vendor

Local healthcare providers, businesses, agencies, and organizations that support healthy aging are invited to participate as community resource vendors at select September events for $50 per location.

Vendor space is limited at some locations. Please contact Finding A Foothold Foundation before submitting payment to select your preferred location and confirm availability.

Become a September Sponsor

Organizations looking for greater visibility can support the entire September campaign through sponsorship.

Community Sponsor — $400
Includes campaign-wide logo placement and recognition across September outreach locations, social media, and Foundation communications.

Community Impact Sponsor — $800
Includes Community Sponsor benefits plus prominent logo placement and signage, featured and verbal recognition, and opportunities for on-site community resource participation throughout the September campaign.

Your Support Makes an Impact

Sponsorships, vendor participation, and donations help provide educational materials, adaptive equipment for hands-on demonstrations, and, when feasible, select low-cost safety and adaptive products for older adults.

Join us as we bring organizations together, combine community resources, and help older adults protect their independence through falls prevention.
