September Falls Prevention Community Outreach

This September, Finding A Foothold Foundation is expanding our community outreach in recognition of Falls Prevention Awareness Month.

In partnership with the YMCA of the Capital Area, we will provide falls prevention programs at five YMCA locations throughout September, all open to the public. We are also coordinating additional outreach with senior housing communities and other community partners across the Greater Baton Rouge area.

Through interactive workshops and community outreach, we will share practical falls prevention strategies, resources, and hands-on demonstrations, with an emphasis on simple, affordable ways to help older adults stay safe, independent, and confident at home.

Your support helps make this outreach possible. September sponsorship provides recognition throughout the campaign—not just at a single event—giving sponsors visibility across our participating outreach locations and campaign communications. Community Impact Sponsors ($800) may also have opportunities for an on-site resource table at select locations, based on available space and host-site guidelines.

Sponsorships and donations help provide educational materials, adaptive equipment for demonstrations, and, when feasible, select low-cost safety and adaptive products for older adults.
