Richard Montez 2025 Thanksgiving 365

I have had the honor of serving as Inner City Development’s board chairman for over 12 years. In that time, I have witnessed the organization make a profound impact in the lives of San Antonians on the west side of the city.

Thanksgiving 365 is one of the critical programs that the organization runs to help make sure that our neighbors and most vulnerable citizens get to have food on their tables. This year, I am pledging to raise $1000 as part of a larger goal of $40,000 for the organization. This is going to be what it takes to keep our food pantry stocked all year long in 2026.

Now more than ever, at a time when elected official officials are leveraging programs like SNAP to advance political agendas we know that nonprofit organizations like Inner City Development step up every single time there is a crisis. 

For over 55 years our organization has been serving one of the most economically marginalized and impoverished ZIP Codes in the nation, 78207. Since our founding, we have served over 3 million meals, educated thousands of children and supported countless families through various programs.
