The bLU CREW is the student-led service and advocacy program of the Lucy Fernandez Foundation. Each CREW helps advance the Foundation’s HAVE FUN. BE SAFE.: Boater Safety Education, Advocacy, and Outreach Program Expansion, a flagship project of the FLY HIGH, BIRD Boater and Watercraft Safety Initiative. Together, these students champion boating safety, community education, and leadership development inspired by Lucy’s legacy of faith, kindness, hope, and love.
The Westminster bLU CREW is raising funds this Give Miami Day to support:
Hands-on safety education and youth leadership training programs through the Foundation’s statewide Have Fun. Be Safe. initiative
Participation and program development for Jr. CREW CAMP, empowering younger students to learn safe boating and environmental stewardship
Student-led advocacy and outreach, encouraging a sense of civic responsibility and care for our communities while building awareness about responsible recreation across Florida
Every dollar raised helps save lives, protect families, and expand access to safety education that strengthens Florida’s boating culture.
