See that handsome young man with the white wig on his head? That's my amazing son, Michael. 

For as long as I can remember, Michael has had a song in his heart.

Even before he spoke in full sentences, he would hum along to jingles on the radio or mimic melodies from cartoons with uncanny precision. Music was his first language—the universal rhythm that made sense when words didn’t.

Michael's means of escape is through music. When he is performing, he’s focused. He’s calm. He’s himself and he glows at what he does best. In addition, he's a fantastic singer and percussionist. 

One fateful day, when I was having a conversation with a dear friend of mine, they highly recommended the Area Stage as a creative outlet for my son to express himself. The rest is history. 

Michael has been involved in a production, plus two collaborations, but there is more to come, thanks to your generous support and allowing him to grow within the organization.
