New update
It's a big day for meāafter 41 years at Iowa State, Iām officially retiring today! š
Instead of a retirement party, Iām choosing to celebrate in a way that means so much to meāby supporting the animals at Boone Area Humane Society. š
On April 18th, Iāll be participating in the Shelter Slumber Pawty, where Iāll spend 24 hours at the shelter hanging out (and sleeping!) with the amazing dogs and cats of BAHSāall to help raise funds for their care.
If youāve ever thought about giving, now is the perfect time. I would be so grateful for your supportāand to make it even better, Iāll be anymatching any donations made today!
P.S. Since working remotely, Stormy has faithfully attended almost every Zoom meeting with meāand today, she is officially announcing her retirement too! šš±
Welcome to my Shelter Slumber Pawty fundraising page!
This is my third year participating in the Pawty, and Iām so excited to be backāthis time with a big goal in mind. Iām aiming to raise $2,000 to support the animals at Boone Area Humane Society. Itās an ambitious goal, but I know we can reach it together!
This year, Iāll be spending the night with a very special duo: siblings Sissy and Sam. Sissy is currently serving as our Meow Mayor, and both she and Sam have come such a long way since arriving at the shelter. If they donāt find their forever home before April 18th, theyāll be my sleepover buddiesāand Iām definitely hoping for plenty of cuddles!
Sissy and Sam are the perfect example of why BAHS exists. They were found outside as older kittens, and thanks to a kind person who took the time to gain their trust, they were given a second chance. Wanting more for them than life outdoors, she brought them to BAHS so they could find a safe, loving indoor home.
Your donation directly supports cats like Sissy and Samāproviding food, shelter, medical care, and the love they need while they wait for their forever families.
Thank you so much for your support. It truly makes a difference!
