As a board member of Pet Pantry of Lancaster County, I’m asking for your support during the ExtraGive because our community is facing a crisis unlike anything we’ve seen.
Families who are already struggling with rising housing costs, food insecurity, and financial instability are now facing heartbreaking choices—choices no one should ever have to make. And too often, pets are the first to be at risk.
Pet Pantry is stepping in every day to keep families and their animals together.
Because we have veterinarians on staff, a low-cost clinic, a food pantry, a rescue, and a community thrift shop, we’re able to provide real solutions that prevent surrender, suffering, and needless separation.
Recently, we helped a single mother who was on the verge of homelessness. With our support—food assistance, vaccines, and emergency medical care—her pets stayed with her through the toughest chapter of her life. Stories like hers are happening every week.
But the need is growing faster than the donations.
This year, we expect to serve more families than ever before, and for the first time, we may need to purchase pet food to meet demand. Your gift today ensures that pets stay fed, families stay whole, and no one in Lancaster County has to face their hardest moments alone.
