A message from Ivonne Obando

As an immigrant, I know firsthand how meaningful it is to have support, opportunities, and people who believe in you. My own long journey has shaped the person I am today and given me an even deeper appreciation for the power of community—especially in supporting those who arrive with dreams, courage, and hope for a better life for themselves and their families. For that reason, this Give for Good, I’m inviting you to support refugee and immigrant families by donating to KRM.

KRM continues to provide essential and comprehensive services to refugee and immigrant families, helping clients access employment, housing, medical and mental health services. KRM also works with refugee youth to promote academic success and support pathways to continuing education.

Additional services include English as a Second Language (ESL), cultural orientation, and citizenship classes, as well as immigration legal services. KRM assists families experiencing financial hardship with meeting their basic needs and helps clients navigate new and rising challenges in an ever-changing environment.

Through these services, KRM remains committed to supporting refugee and immigrant families as they build stable, hopeful, and successful futures.

What your gift could do:

• $25 - Provides school supplies to a new refugee student beginning classes
• $50 - Gives a winter coat to a single mother and her child
• $100 - Assists a refugee family with the cost of groceries for one month
• $250 - Provides four pairs of steel-toe boots for newly hired refugee in the workforce
• $500 - Supports the distribution of household goods and basic necessities to refugee and immigrant families
• $1,000 - Creates a scholarship for an aspiring college student
• $5,000 - Sponsors two families for two months of rental support
• $10,000 - Ensures interpretation services in multiple languages for a year of cultural orientation programming

Together as a community, we support refugees and welcome immigrants. Through KRM, you encourage hope, advocate for newcomers, and transform the lives of those seeking safety.
