Support Windy City Give Back sleeping out for Care for Friends!

This year, more than 58,000 Chicagoans experienced homelessness, and one in five households faced food insecurity. These challenges are being intensified by rising grocery costs and looming SNAP benefit cuts, impacting hundreds of thousands of Illinois residents, especially Black and Latino communities on the South and West Sides.

In response, Care for Friends is hosting their 11th annual Sleepout for Homelessness to raise critical funds for life-changing programs that help individuals and families move toward stability. This includes their direct grocery delivery service for youth and families who are doubled up and staying on the South and West Sides.

As long time partners of Care For Friends, Windy City Give Back is honored to be sleeping out this year to help raise money for the cause. Our members will be joining other community members to sleep out at Church of Our Saviour, the historic home base for Care For Friends.
