Donate today to support the Boys & Girls Clubs in Coweta County!
Boys & Girls Clubs across Atlanta are uniting for Great Futures Week 2021 - March 29 through April 2 - to showcase the potential of our young leaders and to highlight the vision our kids have for the future.
Young voices have power. Through Boys & Girls Club programs like Keystone Club and Youth of the Year, kids and teens are developing a passion for service and are leading in their schools, Clubs, and communities.
Thanks to your support, we see our Club members thriving in life and creating a brighter future for the world.
Tashyanna Owens
Newnan/Coweta Boys & Girls Club
Tashyanna Owens started at the Newnan/Coweta Boys & Girls Club in 2017, and it has become her “getaway,” and her second home. Tashyanna is an aspiring social worker, and is inspired by her Club director, Ms. Lauren: she helps her see unique opportunities for her life, and helps her “see the greatness in me that sometimes I don’t see in myself.” Without her encouragement, I would have been reluctant to try out for color guard in my school band. As a member of Keystone Club, a high school community service and leadership program, she has participated in a number of leadership opportunities, including a retreat at Camp Kiwanis. Through the Club’s workforce readiness programming, she learned how to build a resume, how to develop interview skills, and tips on how to get into the field of social work.
Make your gift today and help Coweta County reach our goal of raising $1,000 by April 2!
