LivableStreets Alliance

LivableStreets Alliance is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that believes urban transportation has the power to make Metro Boston more connected — and more livable. We challenge people to think differently and to demand a system that balances transit, walking, and biking with automobiles. We promote safe, convenient, and affordable transportation for all users in urban Boston. Streets that are enjoyable to use will better support neighborhoods and business districts.

We inspire a vision by sharing innovative transportation ideas from around the world — encouraging governments, communities, and the public to think about the crucial role that transportation plays in vibrant urban life.

We build partnerships with other advocacy groups, providing resources, tools, and support that help them collaborate effectively and speak with a powerful voice.

We empower communities, providing practical knowledge that helps them envision better transportation and take charge of their neighborhoods.

We create change in the way government approaches projects. We build consensus for balanced transportation plans that have a real impact in making our streets more livable.

LivableStreets believes that to remain a competitive, world-class city, Boston needs a world-class transportation network — one that makes our city a better place to live, work, and play.
