          Wonfel is a California-based nonprofit with 501(c)(3) status, founded in 2018 to address the growing socioeconomic challenges faced by millions of Ethiopians. Its mission is to raise awareness, mobilize resources, and provide relief to communities severely affected by war and natural disasters. Through various fundraising initiatives, Wonfel has delivered emergency aid, supported displaced families, and contributed to long-term recovery efforts.

         The organization operates solely with volunteers, relying on the Ethiopian diaspora and their networks to start, fundraise for, and execute projects via a peer-to-peer platform. It promotes the creation of project teams led by specific individuals, enabling donors to select projects to support through https://donate.wonfel.org or other means. These teams are vital to Wonfel’s success, as they invest their time and resources to guarantee project completion.
