Wonfel is a California-based nonprofit organization with 501(c)(3) status, founded in 2018 to address the increasing socio-economic challenges faced by millions of Ethiopians. Its mission is to raise awareness, mobilize resources, and provide relief to communities severely impacted by war and natural disasters. Through various fundraising initiatives, Wonfel has delivered emergency aid, supported displaced families, and contributed to long-term recovery efforts.

Operating entirely through volunteers, Wonfel is led by an 11-member Board of Directors. The organization relies on the dedication of the Ethiopian diaspora and their networks to initiate, fundraise, and implement projects. It encourages the formation of project teams with designated leaders, allowing donors to choose which projects to support through https://donate.wonfel.org or below.  These project teams are essential to Wonfel’s success, dedicating their time and resources to ensure projects are completed.
