Cain Girls Solidarity Sleepout
A nonprofit fundraiser supporting
Beacon, Inc.$560
raised by 15 people
$500 goal
We are hosting a Solidarity sleepout in our backyard to benefit Friends Place homeless shelter.
The National Alliance to End Homelessness states that there are 564,708 people experiencing homelessness on any given night in the US. 36,907 (6.38%) are children, 47,725 (8.33%) are veterans, and 269,991 (47.6%) are disabled and unable to work.
Our family has been blessed with a stable income, loving support system and able bodies. We recognize many Americans are a couple of missed paychecks away from experiencing homelessness. We know it is our responsibility to use our blessings to bring hope and help to those who need it most.
We hope you will join us in supporting the poor among us and work to end homelessness in this great nation.
"that where there is despair, I may bring hope;
that where there are shadows, I may bring light;
that where there is sadness, I may bring joy.
Lord, grant that I may seek rather to
comfort than to be comforted;
to understand, than to be understood;
to love, than to be loved." Prayer of St Francis
