Nathan's First Half Marathon!

My son Nathan is running his very first half marathon, and I’ll be running right alongside him (or more likely, way behind him). He’s running in support of the Little Giraffe Foundation, a charity my wife and I started nearly 15 years ago when our twins were born three months prematurely.

After six weeks in the NICU, we lost our daughter, Cheyenne. We founded Little Giraffe Foundation in her honor to support other NICU families and advance neonatal research. Since then, the foundation has delivered over 33,000 gift bags to NICUs, awarded more than 150 support grants to hospitals across the country, and funded nearly $350,000 in medical research.

It’s been incredible to see how far the foundation has come and even more meaningful to have our son join us in carrying this mission forward. I’m proud to run these miles with Nathan for a cause so close to our hearts.
