Over the past 5 months, I have assisted in the rehabilitation and rewilding of orphaned/injured juvenile and sub-adult howler monkeys.
As an animal care taker and veterinary nurse, I was able to use my prior knowledge to aid in the ongoing rehabilitation process.
Without continual support by myself and others, Mantled Howler Monkeys will continue to be threatened by human encroachment due to electrocutions, animal attacks and human activity such as deforestation, poaching and the illegal pet trade.
