The Key of Gr8ness!

ALMOST SHOWTIME! Girls Rock NC (GRNC) has yet again turned strangers into bandmates. These last 8 weeks we've collaborated to write, rehearse, and perform our first and ONLY set in front of a live audience - thus was born The Key of Gr8ness! If able, please support GRNC by donating to our fundraising page, even $1 or $5 will go a long way. All money raised goes DIRECTLY to developing music programs and providing scholarships to woman-identifying, trans, and non-binary youth in the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill/Carrboro). Every young person deserves an opportunity to learn, grow, and shine. Also, come to the show this weekend for the live performance. We promise you'll have a blast. And you'll be able to make onsite donations there in the name of - The Key of Gr8ness! (Saturday, March 7 @ Motorco Music Hall -- Doors @ 6pm, Show @ 7pm)

*** MEET THE BAND ***

Caroline: plays drums.

Danette: is a regular fixture on the Durham scene, and, on any given day, you can find her making her improv dreams come true with Mettlesome, DJing at WXDU 88.7 FM, and/or attempting to play sports on skates with Bull City Roller Derby. She's so excited to be doing Rock Roulette with these awesome folks!

Hannah: Hannah is a PhD student at UNC studying English. They love Old Navy, hate gentrification in the Triangle Area, and are engaged! 

Ty: A non-binary POC Music Ed major at North Carolina Central University.  Filled with chaotic energy, they're ready to cause a commotion. A musical revolutionary in training >:)

Whitney: She loves playing music, meeting new people and bringing joy to everyone she can. If you make her laugh, she will love you forever. :)
