Who We Are

Our Mission is to serve victims of child sexual abuse through a coordinated intervention and to end the cycle of child abuse through education.

Comfort House provides services to families affected by abuse.

Services include:
•a multi-disciplinary team forensic interview
•advocacy and referral to counseling
•education programs

Comfort House personnel work as a team with law enforcement, child protective services, mental health, medical professionals, prosecution, and victim advocates.

Located in Southern Indiana, services are primarily offered in Harrison County. However, no one is denied services because of geographical location.

Comfort House offers the Play it Safe program to children Pre-school through 6th grade in local schools. The goal of Play it Safe is to give children the skills and language necessary to help adults protect them from abuse.

Comfort House also offers an Adult Program called Protecting Your Children: Advice from Child Molesters. Protecting Your Children is a revolutionary sexual abuse prevention training program that educates adults to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.
